Post 4th gear died??weird

I was driving the other day and it would't disengage from 4th gear. I pulled over and played with it and it finally came out but ever since it grinds going in and has a hard time coming out. Also I think the blocker ring is broke because if you put the shifter anywhere near 4th it grinds without the clucth engaged. Every other gear is like brand new no problems does anyone what this could be thanks.

That sux, i think your 4th gear syncro could be gone, but i dont know much about these areas of mechanics, i know my clutch is making a weird noise, but not all the time, i pulled my clutch pedal up to adjust, and messed with the quadrant, and it adjusted great, but only for a while, then it started not clamping enough, making it hard to get into gear.

sorry im throwing this off, but hopefully someone shares some info better than mine.

Faststang- How many miles are on your T-5, 4th gear is a direct drive so I would think it just a worn out sycro but with out seeing it or taken it down.... It's seems strange that it's fourth, usually 2nd goes way before fourth does. Do any of the other gears grind at times. Looks like it's time for a rebuild. You should be able to get by with the 94pc set for D&D, $149.00.

90dpscoupe- If your cable is new it may have stretched, make sure the locking nut is tight at the bell housing I had one back off one time, I have no idea how it did that
