whenever I am shifting from gear to gear, the throttle sticks. You know when you are between shifts the rpm's should go down, well mine doesn't. It does it when I warm up the car in the morning, and sometimes it does it when i don't. What could this **** be??? I am getting tired of this **** !!!!! can anybody tell me what the hell is going on????????? the rpm's do not go down..........uuuuurrrrgggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!

I think you answered your own question. If the throttle sticks, the throttle sticks. Clean your throttle body, and if that doesnt do it, check cable for binding, etc...

Ditto! Also I'd check the gas pedal. If the other stuff doesn't fix it. Sometimes the floor mats can pull strange tricks on pedals.

Your TPS may be off, or the IAC motor may be dirty as well.

I'm with Mach 1. If it's sticking it's more than likely build-up inside the TB, IAC motor or maybe a bind on the throttle cable. It's and easy job to remove everything from the intake and clean it all up with carb cleaner.
Get new gaskets while you are at it because they will more than likely tear coming off if they have been on there for awhile. You'll need the IAC gasket, EGR gasket, EGR spacer to intake gasket, and TB to EGR spacer gasket. Get some good stiff parts cleaning brushes that are pretty small to get inside all the components and get all that gunk out of there. |
