Heads and cam
Ok, here is the deal. I am craving power and have money to spend.
I ended up selling my TW's to the guy who bought my car, but agreed to keep my Intake. I want a new set of heads. I can get TFS TW's for $900 assembled from Saleen. I can get the new AFR's 165 or 185cc's for $1400 assembled. They flow pretty close to the TFS's, but the 185's have more flow capability. I will be porting them soon, so which ones do you guys think are the best? Now cams. I am a little rusty on the bumpsticks, what would be a good one to get? I want around a .530-.550, so flycutting will be out of the question. Thanks guys. ------------------ Dustin 1993 Cobra #1926 Bassani Full lengths,Bassani short X-pipe, American thunder Cat back, 3.55's. More to come... |

Comp Cams Xtreme Energy cams are a favorite of mine. I like the AFR 165s on a near-stock engine. If street/strip is more your thing then get the 185s. Also, the cam will depend a lot on your intentions with the car. You could stick with the same lift but go with more duration and a different LSA and have a totally different cam. It all comes down to usage.
