Main Stud Girdle
I will be changing my engine mounts and possibly my oil pan. I was thinking of installing a Main Stud Girdle to strengthen my block. 1) How hard is it to install? 2) Will it help keep my block together longer so that I don't have to buy a new one? I plan on running quite a shot of N20 and ripping some low 11's. Thanks in advance

you dont really need a main girdle to run 11's and there is a little more work involved than just bolting it on. the block should be line honed since the mains will have studs and therefore more clamping load. unless you plan on rebuilding the motor you shouldnt bolt on a girdle.

Thank you. I wasn't sure what was involved but I'm not ready to rebuild my block just yet.
