Is this true? (actuator install)

Ok, I found a used actuator for $25. The guy says they are simple to install. He claims it's only only one pop rivit. Is this true or am I in for an afternoon worth of headaches and profanity?

Well... after you take the door panel off and break the old bracket off trying to do it the easy way, putting the new actuator on the old bracket, you'll just drill out the old rivet and put a new one in with the actuator already on the bracket.. Not too hard of a job unless you have big hands and arms... Good luck!

Who needs a drill? I used a mini-sledge and a cold chisel. Amazing what that'll do to aluminum rivets.

Just use a 1/4-20 pan head bolt & wing nut w/ Loctite for reinstallation. Worked for me since October. Good luck.

I'd have to agree with Capri on this one. I did it the hard way. Stuck my hand it and pried the old ones out and popped the new ones in. So long as you don't break the old ones off in there, its not a problem. If I ever have to do it again, I am definately attaching them with bolts next time. Too many cuts the way I did it.
