Question 3:73 or 4:10? AOD stock '95 GT

So what'll it be? 3:73's, or 4:10's? I'm gonna get the B&M shift kit too... Thanks guys!

specially cuz you have an sn95 style, which is not the lightest of the stangs.

I put the 3:73 in my ex 95 cobra. even though mine was a manual, I think you would enjoy the 4:10 better. you shouldnt have any issues with highway driving, and you will like the acceleration it gives you. I wished I had gotten the 4:10, trial and error LOL.

Definitely get the 4.10. I have had both and the 4.10 are way better than the 3.73. Also, you are going to need a new computer chip to make the 4.10 AOD-E friendly. Several places burn them, I know Dallas Mustang does as well as others.

As for shift kit, you may want to also consider the Transgo or the Baumann. They are the superior product compared to the B&M.

as long as you dont mind running at 3 grand when your only going 65 mph get the 4:10's If you want your motor to last a little longer get the 373's.

------------------
95GT B303 cam, 1.7 rockers, 65mm TB, 73mm MAF, milled heads, 355's K&N, off road pipes, pulleys, msd coil, 9mm wires, Tremec 3550, Pro5.0 shifter,10.5 Motorsport clutch, weld in subframe connectors

if i had to do it over again i would definately get the 4.10's , your heavy beast really needs more gear than the 3.73's, why not some 4.30's ? just kiddin and about the shift kit, stay away from the B&M, its junk, i had it in mine before i got a rebuild and it sucked a$$ , they guy who rebuilt my tranny made a custom one for cheap and it is way superior to the B&M, go for the Transgo or Baumann like suggested before

------------------
88 Notchback 5.0, 3.73's, pulleys, BBK headers, off-road H-pipe, flowmasters, subframe connectors, 65mm TB, shift kit, March ram air kit, motorsport wires, MSD coil, upper and lower control arms, 155lph fuel pump, cheap 2800 stall, Crane Adj.FPR, best time- 13.99@99.75, not yet tested times after 1.7RR install

He will not turn 3K at 65. I turn 2800 at 70 and that is with a non-lockup converter. If it locked I would only turn 2600 or so. 4.10's all the way in an AOD-E.
