Suggestion: If you go into the chat room and no one is there, stick around until someone comes along. People seem to come in and out all the time, the only problem is no one sticks around for others to show up.

Otherwise, like lx_mike says, there is a scheduled chat on Wednesday nights when you know others will be around already.
