since you've checked the fan, motormounts, and it does it revving in neutral... (or does it?)
Maybe you could check the flywheel.. I have the EXACT smae thing happening with my car.. I had to replace the motor mounts because the fan was contacting the shroud, and it feels better but still does it... I'm thinking it might be the flywheel, since the first time I blew up the T-5 the mechanics did not balance it, and it kinda felt like this does, but that was much stronger.... Good luck and let us know what it is when you find it, and if I find mine, I'll let you all know!
