CARB. v/s INJECTION!! EVERYONE MUST READ THIS!
I have recently decided to dump the fuel injection and go with a carb. I had been having trouble tuning the injection for about a year now. My car has ran a best of 12.32 @ 110mph N/A. I had a PROPERLY setup injection system as you can read in my signature below. What I mean by that, is that I had NO stock parts holding my motor back. So now, I'm in the process of doing the switch. The ENTIRE injection system is on EBAY and I'm ordering new parts. I'm going with a Holley 650 DP and Edelbrock Victor JR intake. Is this a good setup or do I need more carb? I'm going with a Mallory 110 fuel pump and paxton filter. I am hoping to beable to compare a real good Injection system to a real good Carb. system, and tell you guys the results. It should be up and running in about a week and I will keep you posted. By the way, my user name is 5.0-man on EBAY and you can find all my parts on there NOW! I even have a RPM EXTENDER up for sale! Any suggestions for my carb setup would be appreciated. I am shooting for the 11s and hope this gets me there. Otherwise, I will be very heartbroken for getting rid of all my injection stuff!!!!! Thanks 5.0-man

I'd go with a 750 DP if I were you. I think with a high flow intake like the victor a 750 would be more effective.

You need a 750, You also need a dist from a
85 5.0 or a aftermarket dist. with a steelgear and vac. advance. Jet carb at 70-74 with a .040 squirter. good luck, Dan ------------------ GT40X,PERF RPM.750 Holley,MAC,X-303 cam,3.73, 13.6@103 |
