86 Cutiing Out, need info...
I was driving it today, i went and got the oil changed(Castrol GTX)
And went in debt for a whole set of tires(Douglas Performance) My car started to sputter and i pulled off the road and let it sit for awhile and it cleared up enough to get me home, when i got on my road i live on i slammed the gas and it took off with no problem, running great now. Sensor going bad? I am gonna change the ACT Sensor as soon as i get the money but what does this sound like could be causing this? I just put plugs and wires and a new coil on it so i rule that out.

Umo....it's gtsr515, your fuel filter is back by the tank. Your cutting out could be a bad pump, but I doubt it, they usual just quit.
I feel it is an electrical problem, possible a TFI module, I bring this up because 1986 5.0 had notorious TFI problems, the 87-up models got a heat sink from FORD to help dissapate heat build up, when they get hot they act up, when they cool, they run fine. Check the connections on your new coil too.

You let it "sit for a while"? Did you shut the engine off then? If that's the case, the fuel pump is very much suspect if you ask me.

The TFI (Thick Film Integrated Module) is on the side of the distributor

All the above suggestions are great, but since you recently changed your spark plug wires, check and make sure #7 & #8 aren't touching each other anywhere.
Take care, -Chris
