![]() It has a grind that I can feel (not hear) on the way into 3rd or 5th. It can be felt more during high speeds. Also, I was at moroso 2nite when I discovered not only this, but it was rather hard to get the shifter out of 4th. I needed to use more than needed strength just to pull it out. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?? Please dont tell me my trannys screwed..

![]() I'd not worry too much about a pile of crap T-5. I've been through a couple of them. They are junk. If you rebuild it you'll be wasting your money because they can't handle hopped up 5.0's.

![]() How expensive is it to replace synchros? I am not making that much power, so I can't see how this is happening.

![]() with core exchange, i paid 575 for a rebuilt used one, it has been good so far, but yes they are junk, my car isnt even hopped up really, and mine blew when i was driving normal, although the track runs took their toll on the poor thing after about 100 runs, and burnouts.

![]() I agree, I broke my T-5 because i power shifted into third gear on the bottle all the time. After 6 months, yes 6 months it finally tore off the teeth on the third gear. It was my fault for the thing breaking. Now i shift it and not full throttle it and it has lasted a year with constant 11.60, 11.70 passes at 120 to 123 mph. Dont get me wrong if a T-5 isnt built right it wont last at all. I like my T-5 but i would rather have a Tremec.
