Just some advice for you guys regarding flywheels. As mentioned before ALL 351w's were 28oz imbalance. In the Ford world, that's one of the VERY few things that had no exceptions.

When I built my current engine, I had problems finding the correct flywheel, and when I just read this thread, particularly Falcon's post talking about pins not lining up.... That's the exact problem I had.

I'm running a "long style" pressure plate, and RAM tech told me that plate (it's also 10.5" on a 28oz flywheel, by the way) DOES NOT use the locator pins at all. MAKE SURE you're comparing apples to apples before you spend the $$$$ to ship that to Hawaii.

I ended up buying an SFI Billet steel wheel for my motor, just to get the correct one. IMHO a 157 tooth, 28oz, 10.5" clutch flywheel isn't gonna be the easiest thing to find.

Here are the pics to show you what I have. Those bolt holes are going to be an issue for a stock pressure plate. I can tell you that right now. That's why I just bought the Ford Racing Flywheel.

BTW, I couldn;t find my measuring tape, so I used a level to measure. The edge is lined up where the flywheel itself ends. It just looks like its pushed over too far. Trust me, it's not.
