hey Coupe50h what size Weld did you put those on?
I had the same size in the Nitto dr and I think a large part of them not hooking was due to having them on only a 7.5" rim. It lost a decent amount of contact patch by being squeezed on that tiny rim. I'd say a 275/50-15 needs atleast 8.5-9" wide wheel to take full advantage

15x8 rim, but yea it bulges off these too a little, you just cant really go much bigger on these car's without serious modification's, i had to hammer all day to get these underneath, my e.t. streets fit fine though.

Ha...BFG! why cause I sell'em and they got one of the best tire companies in the world backing them... Michelin, and these guys know a thing or two about tires.

I've never used any Nitto drag radials on my car, but I have used 6 (six) sets of the BFG 255/50/16's in a span of 2 1/2 years. They hook really well but the treadwear is a joke. They are practically illegal tires when you 1st get them. Very close to the legal limit on tread. I would say that you would get 2500 miles on them before they become outright dangerous. They go bald quick and do not play well in the wet.
I swear by the street traction though! I will get 2 extra wheels, put the BFG's on and swap them on for the weekends. |

lowered tire pressure to 13psi did long burnout at low rpm (when the tire starts "clicking" roll out about 4ft) launch at 3500 with the 150shot on i was driving my buddies 98z28 won us $400 though the clicking noise- when the tires get hot they make a clicking noise, make sure you do the burnout at 2500rpms. TRUST ME, IT WORKS |

ok just trashed my Nittos after 5000 grueling miles and switched over to BFG drag radials. It's been 500 miles and the tread is half gone. They hook no better than the Nittos. At the cost of 330 bucks I stand by my vote for the Nittos.
