2 1/2 gets the job done but 3 inch doesnt kill a car like yall say.

I pull 1.60 60fts all day long and roast the tires at will.

Ackbar00 put down 300RWHP with 3 inch exhuat and a stock cam

Dark 5.0 is right. It's a myth that increased back pressure in the exhaust sysem helps torque. It is true that too big primaries on the headers may hurt torque. That's because the exhaust gas velocity in the headers is too low for good scavenging of the combustion chamber, not because you need more back pressure in the exhaust system.

Mine had no trouble with torque. Made 324#'s of it with 3inch exhaust on mine before the turbo.

Wink Re: Dyno'd it - not happy at all....

Just my opinion but i would say ditch the "E" cam i have never had good luck with that one. I would say try an "F" cam I ran 13.40's with stock heads stock t/b stock mass air f/p intake exc. the only mods were cam, pullys, offroad h, 410's,cold air pipe, and some sticky street tires on 14,s. just my opinion.

by the way that engine had 190,000 miles on it and when we pulled it apart finally you could see all the cross hatching! Not that this has much to do with your problem im just proud.
