I think you should use the E cam because it doesnt have a huge lift and with the explorer intake and 19lb injectors you can support it...at least in my mind...many people like using the e-cam witht he stock heads and it does work well with you go with aluminum or performance heads...just my opinoin.

I think that's it. GO ILLINI!!! 12.985 @ 107.43 w/ 1.929 60' time on street tires. |

What's the LSA (lobe seperation angle) of the Crane cam? That's a big influence on where you can use your powerband. Assuming it's in the right place, and if low end torque is what you want, I'll have to disagree and go with the Crane. It's got a slightly shorter duration which will give you better throttle response and a little bit more low end. It may be a bit more lift than you need right now, but if you're planning on better heads then it's a good place to start.

I think you should use the FMS E-cam. I have a buddy that is running it and has a stock intake manifold, TB, and injectors, and the car runs like a bear. And it will only get better with improved induction.
hope this helps you out some... ------------------ 89 black GT, 5 spd air silencer removed flowmaster cat-back + h-pipe MSD Blaster coil FMS 9mm wires |
