Post help troubleshooting a sound

the car is finally running great, although I HAVE to use a $5 bottle of Bordahls Knock Out with every gas tank (only that brand for some reason)...anyhow, now that i do not have pinging noises, i now can hear something else wierd. The only way I can describe it is years ago, i had a turbo dodge shadow. It made a sort of fluttering/whirrling turbo noise. NOW my car makes that similar noise? Vacuum leak? it is more high pitched than say a clunky/mettalic noise. Only makes it on wide open throttle, and if during the sound, I let off a bit and hit it again, it goes away. It is not gear whine either...definitely coming from engine bay.

I used to hear a high pitched whining noise from my engine. Turns out it was my EGR, and the noise was higher and lower as I drove and slowed down. My car was running pig rich, and it still had some unburnt gas in it, so I guess it caused the EGR to do that. I switched FPRs and leaned it out and it went away. Maybe that additive you use is causing it.

TEX, it could be the additive, but unless I use it, I get pinging so bad you can't hear anything else...so, using the additive makes the ping go away, but now I hear the whirrling noise. What does an exhaust leak sound like?
