Will not fit.

Also, if you have the stock type EFI upper, taller valve covers will hit it.

Sucks

So, you may need to add a phenolic spacer under the upper to clear the taller covers.

I forget which ones. But one of the ford motorsports covers has to be modified to fit over the rockers. Seems like the baffling has to be removed on one side.

I have stock valve covers and I have had both 1.7 and 1.6 rockers under them with no problems.

Usually afetrmarket heads have a raised mounting surface so the valve covers clear really easy.

Hi, couple of quick questions: when you say you had 1.7 and 1.6 under your stock valve covers is that also with stock heads? Also is it a good idea to put rockers on a stock 5.0 engine?

Thanks.

My crane 1.7's hit my stock covers bad. They did clear with a cobra intake and phelonic spacers using the FMS cobra covers.

I just got the same set of rockers for my current mustang and I'm going to try the grinding of baffles thing. Either way, it looks like a tight fit to say the least. I'll keep ya posted.

I had to stack two valve cover gaskets in order to get my 1.7's on with GT-40 iron heads adn the stock valve covers.

Yea, I know it is kind of ghetto, but the stacked valve covers worked. I had one side that started leaking after about 50K miles. Other than that, no problems at all.
