Rattling coming from rear. What is iT?
When I make a right turn and my car bounces a bit, a rattling comes from the rear. I was looking into doing suspension anyway, but this is quite annoying, not to mention making me nervous. So what could it be? I do not want to go spend money on a mod to fix this when it actually doesnt, so does anyone have first hand knowledge what this could be?

Slowstang-
I have a chirping noise coming from my 'stang's rear under slight acceleration and also have a really rough ride (see my post for deatils). Though, I do not have an answer to your post, I live in Wellington-fairly close to you. Let me know when you go out to Moroso, it would be cool to hook up with ppl from the forums one night. |

Hey, had a rattling sound coming from the rear of my car and finally figured it out. Hope this help you. On Your rear bumper cover, bang on it with your hand and see if it rattles at all. If it does then look underneath your car where the cover connects to the bumper. On my car there was 2 brackets holding it in place and they were riveted on.
I bought the car from a guy who lived on a kind of bumpy road and the rivets just worked themselves loose so I replaced them with nuts and bolts. No more rattling. Hope this helps. |

I had a problem like yours recently and it was the rear drum brake hardware had come off and was rattling in the drum when driving and especially when turning.

I have a grinding type noise in my rear end and i was told today that it could just be the "dope" sticky stuff in the rear end (where the rear end gear is). Have you checked it. I may be a girl but just a little suggestion. If not sure how to check it just email me and ill let you know.

On my car I have an annoying rattle from the exhaust pipes just barely hitting the body of the car... every so often I have to get under it to get them on the hangers tight! Good luck!

I had a rattle from the rear end, also in idle - turned out that the spare wheel was not bolted down properly.
Good luck |
