Doubt it. How big is your alt.? Even if it's just a stocker, they're rated at 64 amps, and usually put out more than that. You'd need at least a 100 amp fuse. That's just scary. Fusible links aren't that bad to change, cut out the blown one, install the new one in place of it. I always solder and heat shrink my connections, but I've seen yellow crimp connectors on a few that worked just fine. Also take your alt. and regulator and get them checked. If this is the second time you blew a fuseable link, there's something not right in the wood pile. Either the alt is spiking voltage/amps or the regulator is having a brain fart.

Fuse links are usually two sizes smaller than the wire it's protecting.
Whatever gauge that wire is......go two sizes smaller and that will be the size you need.

Jester the rating on his alternator should be 80amps for a stocker. I just bought a new alt. for my '88 the other day and it's rated at 80amps...or was it 85 amps?? It's either 80 or 85 amps though.

AMP makes circuit breakers that can be reset and are small with ratings up to about 200 amps @ 32vdc. You cant find them in the RV on-line parts suppliers. I have a 150 amp model on my 150A 3G alternator. What's REALLY nice is it has a "trip" feature that allows you got disconnect the alt from the battery with the push of a button.
