Default Chip for the money

I'm looking to buy a chip for my 93' Stang. I need to know what chip gives the most bang for the buck. Look below for the mods in my ride.

Thanks guys and gals.

An off the shelf chip is a waste of money. Just advancing your timing and running a 180 T-stat will give you the same results.

Dark 5.0 is right on the money a chip is a waste of money (unless its custom and at your level you would see little improvement). Just bump the timming to 14 degrees and run a 180 thermostat.

Then what is the best chip to buy to enhance my current add-on's? I'm looking for some more off the line response. Since Im went to the GT40P heads I've lost the low end, but middle to top end it kicks ass. I've heard that installing pullies will help a bit on the low end side.

Don't look for a chip for what you want. To give you a idea how versitle the stock computer is my car has a stock computer and no add on's.

As for the pullies they are great and by far the best bang for the buck (besides gears).

hrm, I'm not familar with the 93 computers, but I can say my 94 computer is a big old POS and would have to respectfully disagree with sedanman about needing one. Of course everyones setup is a bit different and my experience is no where within the norm.

I have a H/C/I setup with some mild work done on the heads. Full exhaust, all the little incidentals and I picked up a little over 100 rwhp and about 130 rwtq from a chip... it was BADLY in need of a tune. Of course this was all done on a dyno when I got the chip done, and my year computer is known as being a piece of junk so your milage may vary.

I am always open to other peoples opinions. However the 94 and the 93 computer are WAY different. The 93 still has the highly adaptable computer that needs nothing. The 94-95 have a way different computer that does not learn as well and has a stupid timing pull on shifts.
