Mass Air Conversion MAF
Go figure, I run a search on this and I get nothing
A freind wants to convert his 88. I know the basics, needs a meter, and harness part for the meter. I am not remembering if you have to switch the computer as well. So please, fell free to send any diagrams or requirements that would be needed. Here is what I think he needs. 1. a meter 2. harness for meter 3. computer? (He has a 5-speed, 9AL?) 4. I am sure I am missing something

question is WHY does he want to convert?
it wont make the car any faster... in my opinion SD is great. you can get chips burt with all types of mods done to SD and it will run as good as any car. i had a SD car into the 11's on spray.. very simple H/C/I combo and 24lb injectors.. and correct me if i'm wrong but isn't most of your aftermarket EFI kits for the big boys SD...? they tune with fuel/timing curves, etc..

You also have to re-pin some of the wires in the 60-pin PCM connector.

www.stangnet.com has an article on how to do it. Search the web there are more sites that have the info. That's how I did it on my truck. I used a T-Bird speed density wiring harness and converted it to mass air.
