Hey Cucho whats up/
Yea you can use the 205 heads on your 306 but would need a Custom ground cam made up to make it work correctley w/ your 306. Or use a nice size power adder.
I dont have the flow fiquires on me but I think they flow just 10-15 cfm less then the 225.
Hope this helps.

That AFR-205 head the way it comes, is more then enough for a HEALTHY 306 and 347!
You really don't need any work to them unless your trying to go deep into the 10's or faster. More info on your new combo would be alot of help.

Way too big for a sub-7000 rpm 306. Just about right for a high revving, air moving 347.

This is my combo:
11.5 compresion
Hyd. Roller 236, 248 at 0.50 and 574, 595 lift
Victor Jr. Intake
750 carburator with a proform main body
1 3/4 Hooker Headers.
MSD ignition Sistem DIST and 6AL
C4 with and ATI converter 4200 stall by foot brake
456 rear end with 26 slick.

My car is running rigth now 11.50 with a cylinder heads World Roush 200(iron) with 2.02 and 1.60, and 60 cc. with middle porting 250 cfm at 600 lift intake and 190 cfm at 600 lift exhaust. So if i change to the AFR 205 with out porting job is gone a run more or if gone a stay where it is, the thing is that the AFR are for 347 project but for now im gone a put into my 306, because i sold the world heads. What u guys thing.

Go with It!
The car might slow down a little. The car will respond to nitrous very well if the lobe seperation is close. Other then that, when you put in the 347...make sure the compression is closer to the 11.5--12.5 to 1 area.

Other then that you might want to put on a smaller carb to pick up some bottom end response.

Those AFR 205 heads flow almost 50 cfm more, out of the box then the ported heads you just sold! If you were going to stay with a 306ci motor, I would recommend the AFR 185, but no need to spend your $$$ twice.

Good Luck and let us know how it turns out

420nitro, a small carb like a 650 with the proform main body sounds good. You thing my 750 is too much.

Yes, I think a 650 (Race style 4150) would be good up to the 6,500 rpm range for your car.

Bare AFR 205's have a 190cc runner, 55cc chambers, no valve seats, guides, etc. ZBy the time you get them fully assembled and a 3 angle valve job, you'll have spent more than a set of complete 205's and won't have the CNC work.
You'd be better off with 185's or just buying the 205's complete.

A 650 with a proform main body will be identical to a 750 with a proform main body. The 650, 700, 750, and 800 share the same base plate, all 4150 metering blocks are the same and so are the bowls.
