crank shaft spacers
Ok Dad and I finnally agreed that the drag engine will be going into the noch back and we will rebuild my twin turbo into a single twin switchable system. for my hatch
#1 we are going to solid roller lifters #2 Aluminum heads (depends on price) #3 Jerico or auto (Jerico with Long shifter my choice) #4 He wants to Machine the scat crank down to Cleveland diamater (we hope to be able to afford a SVO block next year) use spacers on the engine side and machine the mains or see if svo caps will fit the W block. the main reason is to spin it faster and help with any oiling to the crank. Rick Tinsley has used spacers on some of his destroked small block's are there any companie's that manufacure crank spacers . im not sure about crank side but not to worried if we use new mains the spacer couldn't spin because of the mains supporting the crank spacer. ps my Dad turns 79 this year so I dont know how much he will be doing. but cant really say that to him if i can get caps done and buy the spacers drill and tap a stud into them it will be better than making him do it. thanks
