Default Explorer intake and heads

What years can I get the explorer intake and heads for my 93 5.0? Also ,what ha to be done for them to work? I read on an earlier post about drilling the hole in the #5 but whats the deal with headers? Will some of them work with my 5.0 headers that I have already? If so what do i look for to identify? Thanks for any help. Im new to the love of mustangs and Im trying to learn all I can. Thanks again.

I think explorer heads are identical to those gt40p which has different spark plug holes angle and that is why you cannot use 5.0 headers due to interferrence.

the vacuum hoses have to be re-routed for the explorer intake and you have to tap the lower intake manifold i think for a coolant sensor....haven't done it personally but that's what i hear.

The 5.0L explorers came with the GT40p heads, which are "quick-burn" heads, and are quite a bit better than the stock heads. There are special headers for them though, because as stated the spark plug location is revised for a better burn.

The explorers also came with a 65mm throttle body, but i don't know if that will fit on a mustang, although it looks like it will, i just don't know what spacer you'd need.
