Default Did not find answer in other postings

I tried to read most of the postings about changing out rear ends. Not the gears but the whole thing. My question is what year and model could I use to change out my 97 7.5 to an 8.8 and what are all if any mod I would have to do? Read alot of good info but nothing about making this change. If anyone has done this or hear of it you help would be greatly appreciated. Thank in advance Ant

Any rear-end from a 1994-2004 Mustang GTs or Cobra should work.

Is your car a v6 or GT? If its a 97 Gt is already has a 8.8.

Good point. And if it is a v6 car, whats the need to put an 8.8 in it?
