Post Mallory Unilite Distributor

I want to run a Unilite dist. in the drag car. I figure that little laser is much more accurate than two magnets, and have heard so from other reputable places. I have only found one place to get it from that is for an 86' or up motor. I have found several for the 69 to 80 model block, several for the 81 to 85 block. I have and 86 block and have only found one. What is different about the block around the distributor? It is priced at $249 us dollars. Can't I just buy a dist for the 85 and lower blocks and save some money? It is a vacuum advance dist by the way.
