Thumbs up 90 5.0 EFI to carb question

what i am doing is putting a 90 5.0 HO longblock into a 80 bronco..i only need the longblock from the 90 5.0...i will transfer over the broncos oil pan, timing chain cover, intake, carb, distributer etc...

what distrubter gear do i have to use when i keep the carbed distributer..i am planning on keeping the stock roller cam in it..do i have to get a disbuter gear put on the carbed distrubter from a 5.0 HO??

thanks in advanced

Your gear will be fine. It's a drop in. You can use any 302 or 289 distributor as long as you make sure you keep the HO firing order. I reccommend keeping the electronic distributor and using a aftermaket igintion (ie MSD).

you will need to get the steel gear that comes on the roller motor distributors. any gear will not work. if you try it, it will destroy the cam and the dist. gear.
