I have a 1979-1980 Lincoln disc axle setup in my kids car, I getting ready to install gears 4.10:1 withan eaton posi and I was wondering if any one knows what spline the axles are? Ideas, the engine is a good one having built it myself stage 3 canfield heads, stroker steel forged crank,SRP slugs and eagle rods, federal mogaul nascar bearings, C-4 with all red eagle clutches 3200 rpm stall. He is ready for the track all but gears, it would be nice if some one knows ootherwise the cover comes off and I will do it the old fashion way.. Thanks FSTPNY

Most likely 28 spline. The axles are going to be a funky length though if I remember right. The rear end should be a tad bit wider than a normal stang 8.8 so that should make the axles a bit longer. (in case you're thinking of replacing the axles with 31 spline or something, might not work)
