Question Building 8.8 Rearends

Does anyone know a good source that provides detailed instructions on how to set pinion depth and backlash. All the manuals I've looked at are either very vague or tell you to take it to the shop. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and know how to set up and use dial indicators and other precison measuring equipment. I just need a good set of detailed instructions. I'm installing 3.73 gears, eaton differential, 31 spline axles and rear end girddle on an 87gt 8.8 rear w/ 342 stroker engine.

Thanks in advance!

Paul

On corral.net in the technical features under drivetrain 8.8 gear install, Chris Neighbors has a pretty good set of instructions. I referenced this when I installed mine. Maybe that can help.

I've got a write-up on my site as well. Just follow the URL in my sig and look in the Tech Articles section. My write-up is actually referenced in the Corral article.
