![]() what should my fuel pres. be at just ideling?? 42p.s.i?
and what should it be at when i give it alittle gas but not moving done the road. just reving(not hight) how do i change the presuer if not at what it should be? |

![]() What exact pressure your car is best at may differ a little from someone else's. It has been a long time since I even looked at mine, but I think it is around 38 psi. I don't know what kind of pressure it gets once moving, as my gauge is mounted under the hood.
To adjust the pressure you need to buy an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. The stock regulator is not adjustable.

![]() When checking the fuel pressure you will want to check it with vacuum hose on and off. With no vacuum will be you will have high pressure. Like hethj7 said 38 psi is a good starting point with vac off. With hose connected it should drop about 8 to 10 pounds and as vacuum in engine varies the fuel pressure will vary.
