Post NOS 05115-stage one or two??

is the only diffrence between these 2 that stage two comes with a fuel pump?..my fuel system is allready sufficent..cant i buy stage one and jet it for 150shot?

The only difference is the fuel pump, the jets, and a shim in the nitrous regulator.


N2O Regulator

75 hp 42 59
150 hp 67 42

The shim is .040 and it goes in the reglator cap. Really easy.

so is it better to buy stage and and get new jets and a diffrent shim or just buy stage 2 and try to sell the pump??

o and would those be the settings i would use for 24# injectors with a 150 shot??

I also had the stage 1 kit but wanted to upgrade without the fuel pump and stuff. I went to my local speed shop and they got me the jets from NOS for like 6 bucks.

As for the settings, I think that the stage 2 system is still set up for the 19's with allot of fuel pressure from the pump that comes with the kit. I had 30's and a 190 intank pump and ran with no problems.

Yeah, the jets are only like 3 bucks each, and you could make the .040 shim yourself out of sheet stock, or just order it when you get the jets.

I also don't believe that the shim is necessary when larger injectors are used. I don't use the shim.

EXGM..what size injectors are you using??and what size shot are you running??BTW thanks for the help..hopefull when it is all said and done even mustang people wont know i got NOS in my car..if you care id tell you how im ganna do it..o yea..what times are you running and what mods you got

I am jetted for 100 rear wheel horsepower. So about a 125 shot.

Here is my combo:

302,TFS heads(mild port),E-303,1.72's,ported GT-40,24 lb'ers,65 mm t.b.,headers/exhaust,T-5, 3.73's, pulleys, c&l 73.

motor 12.8 @ 111
spray 12.0 @ 122

Just on radials.

You say your fuel system is already sufficient, are you positive? You need to be absolutly sure of this before you jet it to 150...You need to check your fuel pressure at the test port and if it is below 80 psi at wot you will need the pump supplied in the stage 2 kit. I am not sure though how to set it up running 24# injetors though. Your best bet would be to call the tech support at NOS and find out. This isn't something you just want to try out...severe lean=death to motor.
