Tranny 1st gear??
Hey there my question is what is the difference between the the first gear like some has 2.95 and 3.27 and so on, what the differnece and whats the best. thank alot.

3.27 first gear would probably be to low if ou have a ton of low end torque.first gear would be useless. 2.95 first would be better off unless you like effortless burnouts.

Isn't 2.95 the ratio for a FRPP T-5? Please tell me you aren't using a T-5 with a blown stroked windsor?

Mustang T5 ratios are 3:35 or 2:95 - the 3:27 is for a Tremec 3550/TKO.
If you have a choice, the 2:95 is prefereble due to the closer ratios of all the gears.

Hey guys i have the TKO and mine has the 3:27 thats why i was wondering if the 2:95 was better, see the thing is a buddy of mine gave me his 2 month old TKO with the 3:27, he gave it to me because he blew his 2nd gear syncro, i was going to rebuild the thing to have a spare for my car, This TKO tranny has held up rather well in my car, it is a pretty good tranny, thanks
