94-95 Alternator on a Fox Body?
So i have an 88 5.0 with underdrive pulleys, and i am noticing some problems with my charging system (dim lights, erratic voltmeter reading, low battery charge, etc.). A friend of mine told me that he replaced his alternator with one from a 94-95 model, which is 130 amp vs. the 75 amp that i have. He claims this fixed the similar problems he was having with his car, and that he had to modify the bracket and change some of the wiring. Has anyone done this, and if so, what were the modifications needed.
I have looked for some of the higher amp alternators for an 87-93 stang online, but most of those say that some bracket modification will be required. I get the feeling most of these are just 94-95 alternators resold at a higher price. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

He is correct, slight grinding on the bracket will work and the one wire change will be all you need to worry about.
