Well guys I bent a damn rod in my mustang, I believe that is what it is anyways.
It was raining like hell, I went through a mud puddle, the car stalled, I tried to turn it over, it took a min, and then I hear knocking in the engine. Bent rod is all I can assume, any other ideas would be heart warming lmao I can figure its gonna cost me over $500 to fix the rod, but I might be able to pick a 302 up for $200 and could get away with fixing it for $500 ......this is because that is all I have LOL Please entertain me with ideas. -Abe

Take care, -Chris

info
Knocks when I start the car and while the engine is running. It gets louder and faster the mor RPMs it has.

Could be a piston, too. Ground out the plug wires one at a time until the noise almost goes away. Then you will know which cylinder it is. Next, pour several ounces of 40 weight engine oil into the cylinder. crank the engine over several times with the coil disconnected. Instal the plug, and start the engine. If the noise is gone, it's a piston slap, or a collapsed skirt. If the noise remains, it's a rod.
Take care, -Chris
