Default HELP!!! New Supercharged motor...smokes bad

Hey guys, I need help!!! I just installed my new motor...Right at ignition, it started smoking. Not like burning off the grease smoking, like burning smoking. I looked back and can't think of anything that it could be.

It idles fine. Ides smooth, except for the lope of the cam. It is a pure whiteish/grayish smoke, and doesn't really smell like oil, more like new exhaust, but there isn't a new exhaust.

Ilet it set for about 30 minutes and started it up again...no smoke. I drove it about a half block and POOF, smoke.

I talked to Sky andhe said he had a similar problem with the smoking/car runs fine. He said his rockers were too tight. I am thinking(hoping) that is the case.

Here is my analysis:

Rockers too tight. When it sits 30 min-1hr, no smoke until the lifters compress??? Is this pssible guys? Please help!!

my car smoked really bad from the day i bought it, and it kept getting worse and worse. well my oil pump went so when i took the motor apart to rebuild it the problem was just what we had suspected. The oil rings literally fell out of the pistons into pieces. They were upside down, gapped wrong! the culprit of months of smoke and using additives and thicker oils etc... was a set of $30 oil rings.... when i would start my car it would smoke and it wouldnt smoke the entire time i was driving, a lot at idle though.. if this sounds like your car u might want to investigate the rings... well i hoped i helped

WEll, some good news.....it doesn't smoke as much. Keeps getting less and less every time I drive it. I amnow hinking either that the rings are setting, or that all the oil and stuff that caked my insides of my exhaust is burning out slowly....believe me, it is caked, almose 1/16" of gunk in the left muffler....bout time for a new exhaust???

Also, would the wrong plugs cause it to miss and sputter some?

check the oil and radiator to see if there is a possibility of a blown head gasket. If there is a milky white substance in your oil or radiatior, you have found your culprit. You should also check the exhaust pipes to see if it smells like anti-freeze. You said it was a new engine, so i doubt its that, but worth a shot. Question, is that a new blower combo? Speaking from personal experience, i installed a paxton on a Lt-1 camaro (buddy, not mine) and they forgot to tell us to block of the pcv valves and the blower was pressurizing the crankcase, causing the motor to smoke also. Not sure if it would do the same on a windsor. Just a thought.

No, I have had blowers before, and blocking off the PCV valve??? Never heard of it....never did it before...must be a GM thing.

Castrol GTX 10W30...not synthetic.

Last motor I changed was in my Bronco.

Id forgot that it filled the pipes full of oil and antifreeze when the old motor blew up.

To say I freaked out was a understatment.
