Default adjustable clutch cable

I am looking at getting the adjustable unit from bbk. Is it necessary to have the firewall adjuster, in order to adjust the cable? If so, I wonder why it is sold separately? I was thinking of getting just the firewall adjuster and put it on my stock cable, will that work?

No & yes. No you dont have to have one but sure does make it nice. Yes you can use on stock cable but you have to replace quad too.

I've got the forte's firewall unit and it works great in my humble opinion. I've applied this to both of my mustangs and each time I marvel at how I got the quadrant out the last time (IE...it's a total b****!) . Other than that, it's a breeze. You need to glue or peg the base to the firewall or it will roate with the rest of the assembly a little further down the road.

Or use locktite, mine did indeed turn on me, and caused me to burn up my disc a little, i couldnt figure it out at first.....honestly i could have done without the fwa, but i love the quadrant under the dash, feels smoother.
