I have a 90gt and ordered a TFS street heat upper and lower intake and noticed theres a chunk of metal missin on the lower I have 2 pics http://community.webshots.com/user/scrapla click on intake and take a look it doesnt look like it would affect anything but the strength, I just want to know if I need to return it or not worry.

Dam ! It looks like someone went nuts with the milling machine !!
Could be its there for clearance for something but I sure don't know what it could be ?? Yet i can't imagine quality control could miss something that obvious ? If they did then quality control must not exist there ?
If I were you I'd at very least call them up and send them that picture or fax it to them and ask who when berserk with the cutter and why ?

My TFS street lower has that, but it's not bad at all. they had to have messed up in the machining of that. I though they did that for clearancing, but yours has too much missing. i would definately return it.

that is normal. i have the Track Heat and it has two machined areas. i believe it is for fuel lines and distrubutor.

I don't know srv .. you look at the radius where the distributor goes and the first thing its gonna hit is that corner and they stopped short of the corner .... and as far as fuel lines go, if you layed a fuel line along that grove it would again hit that corner and the higher spot at the other end ?? I might buy clearence for something underneath the upper manifold, but even if it is, thats a pretty ragged lookin deep cut. Especially right into the bolt pad like that ???
