Default Ford Racing Water Temperature Gauge

Does anyone have already installed a 2 5/8 Ford Racing Water Temperature Gauge.

It's a used water gauge with the sensor.

I got a problem with the sensor. When i remove the old one i notice that it's in one piece. Mine with the gauge is in two pieces and the sensor fall in the hole when i install it (see pics). Do i need an adaptor or do i have the right sensor.

Is there's also a way to keep both sensor just to compare there reading.

I am using a Y b/c I wanted the stock gauge to work as well. Though it does not tell you much, having a dead gauge in the dash would drive me nuts. I have Autometer elec. oil temp, stock oil press, Autometer elec. oil press, and the blower oil feed all attached to various points on the extension off the block you have in your jpg. You need to be a little creative, especially to insure unrestricted flow to the blower, but you can do it! I can take a pic if it helps. Let me know.

i have the ford racing gauges...and yes..i DID have to go to the hardware store and buy a pipe fiting so the water temp would fit

my water temp and oil pres gauges in the dash dont work..but it dont bother me...im so used to looken over to the ford racing gauges

also, just as a warning...i have since purchased the braided stainless steel presure line from autometer for my oil pres gauge...that crappy plastic nylon tube is really weak..mine ended up poping just behind the guage and i had oil running on the floor on both sides...the braided line was 50 bucks

DITTO! DONT RUN THE NYLON!!!
I cant believe they can still sell them that way. For $50 you get 6 feet on braided pre-made SS lines.

The high pressure line is for the S-trim. I got rid of the stock sensor.
