Question What is the most horsepower I can have with 10 inch slicks

I have an 84gt with 10 inch slicks. I am currently running high 11's, but I would like to put in a stroker motor this winter but Idon't have the extra money to get the car tubbed. Iwas wondering what kind of set ups are out there for a carbed car launching around 4500 to 5000. I don't want to build a big motor then spin the tires all the way down the track.

I seen a guy(blower car) going 10.30's @ 135 at the track on 26x10.5 et drags, if you think you can go nines, i would have something bigger, and would also screw the tire to the rim, just my .2.......

i have seen a few guys that run in the mid to high 9's on 26x8.5's. not my first choice but they are doing it. their are a few low 10 second cars running on 28x9's. horsepower is good, suspension makes it better

I believe Dan Millen runs on a true 10.5" tire and runs in the low 7's. If your suspension is setup properly you can run so much power that you won't know what to do with on those tires.
