Go with a full manual valve body and you don't have to! But if you want to keep the 'Put it in Drive and go', there are TV assist brackets available for almost all of the popular carburetors out there on the market. Just check the catalogs and carb accessory listings and you'll find them.

Default carb kickdown

Go to the webb site for "LoKar". They make a kickdown for a holley to use with an AOD. Using one on mne now. Building a full manual valve body c4 this winter however.
PS: be sure you have someone set the TV pressure with a gage after the linkage is attached.

Ok, I gottca.

I dissagree with you choice to go to a carb, I think you'll regret it down the road. EFI isn't hard to work on. But it's your car.

Default 'Nother Possibility

Check out the info on www.baumannengineering.com - they tell you which AOD vehicles came with carbs - if your carb is similar, you could go to a junkyard and get (probably) a lots cheaper setup.
