Default death to the smog pump

im going to be taking out me defective smog pump and my shorted out A/C system. i plan on buying some march mounting brrackets for my power steering and alternator.

i have stock heads. (1987 GT 5.0) as i have read, the stock heads have holes in teh back for the smog connections.

upon inspection the smog lines are held on with a bolt. i am thinking that if i pull that bolt out, i can remove the system. do they make plugs for the heads or is it ok to leave the holes open?

the holes should be plugged
I think I recall reading that they are a 5/8" pipe thread but I could be wrong
