Mass air fried??
I can't seem to get better than a 14.6 at the track. I have been getting a code for my mass air, I can't remember the code. I took the sensor itself out of the flow tube and one of the two filaments appeared to be fried. Would that cause a lean or rich condition resulting in a piss poor time? My 60' times are about 2.0 to 2.2, with cheap street tires. I believe that with my setup, I could do better than a 14.6. I plan to buy a Pro M 75mm race Bullet when I have the cash, but for now, I'm thinking junkyard and pull one. Any idea how much it would cose for the sensor at a pick a part? Thanks.

when i bought my car my i raced my buddy in his parents plymouth colt (i think thats what it was) and he actually pulled on me. at full throttle the car fell on its face and wouldnt rev. past 4000 rpms. i switched the mass air, and the damn thing ran a 14.60 bone stock-no k&n, or mufflers NOTHING! thats damn good for a sn95 5spd. anyways your sensors will most likely look dirty, but as far as fried, i dunno. just swap the sensor with someone you know to try it out, and see if it helps. usually when they go bad, its a huge difference though, not just a few tenths!

I would love to be able to swap with someone, but I know no one with a stang. It's sad, but I'm all alone. **tear** I really feel it should run better than a 14.6.

the stock intake and heads are killing you, you change those and youll most likely run 12.90 at least. (should) the sensor probably wouldnt cost any more than 10$, i would think at a junk yard, i'd try that and see what happens.
