Default EFI or Non EFI tank pickup needed

Picked up the new project 86 today. Am wondering if I need to change pickups in the tank when I remove that pump and install my external Holley Blue pump. I have a non efi Pickup from an 81 Stang I had bought previously.. which should I use??? Also what will I need to hook the factory tank up to Aeroquip Push Lock Fuel Line. I have 1/2" fuel line to use and would like to use it without wasting it.

Thanks
Brad

I pulled the pickup out of the tank when I did my carb conversion, unbolted the fuel pump and cut a piece of rubber fuel hose a bit longer than than necessary. I then attached to the stock pickup where the pump hooks up and when I reinstalled, the tube, being slightly longer, turns a bit sideways and sits perfectly on the bottom of the tank. I can run the tank almost dry and no fuel pickup problems.

I hope this helps
