I think a auto ECM into a manual car is ok, I think you have problems when you try to run a auto car off a manual ECM.

I don't have an answer about the ecm...but I have been thinking about doing the same swap to my 88. What are the horsepower advantages to this upgrade.

The auto computer is fine in a manual car. You might need to mess with the transmission harness a little, though.

Check Anderson Ford Motorsports. They have the MAMF with correct injector sizes, new harnesses for 5.0 MAFM to MAF Plug, etc., and are extremely helpful and knowledgable regarding damn near anything and everything I needed to call them on during my build, even when I did not get the parts directly from them. Anderson Ford Motorsport Best of luck.

Don't do it, dude. If your car is a manual, then you have to get a ecm for a manual. Trust me, i did the maf conversion on my 88.

Why convert, I have been 11.60s on SD. All the hype about what can't be done is crap.
