No Traction
My 95/5.0/GT has 245/45/17's all the way around for street use.I want to get a set of rims and slicks to throw on when at the track.Anyone know a good tire & rim combination(sizes) that will work, and not rub the inside or outside fenderwells. The rear suspension is basiclly stock except for southside lowers, ford racing uppers, diff. is a 3.55 posi ,strange axles. Depending on the new tire size,I know I may have to change that 3.55 ratio. Also doing this to save $$$ on tires. Any input would be appreciated.

Any cheap 15x8's and a pair of MT ET streets. If the rims are for the track only, it shouldn't make a difference what they look like. Just my opinion.

10.5 et streets fit fine, you might even be able to bigger. im going to try 11.5 et streets on mine this year.
my choice for wheels are weld prostars 15x3 1/2 (front) 15x8 (rear) with that gear your probably going to have a "monster" bog out of the hole. go with a 26x10.5, if you go with a 28" tire it will turn down your gear quite a bit. 4.10 w/28" tire = somewhere around a 3.73 4.10 w/26" tire = well.........a 4.10 |

I'm going 26x10.5 15, but I'm trying to keep it in the wheel wells for FFW True Street this year. You probably could go with 11.5, but if you have the quad shocks it might rub. I don't know if the 95's have them or not.

Hey guys thanks for the help.I figured the 26x10.5 on a set of 15'x8's would work, just wanted to make shure before I bought them.Which may have to wait now that I've run over a 4"x 4" piece of wood on the I-10 bent both drivers side 17'chrome cobra R's Really sucks ***. Those damn rims look nice as hell but don't take curbs or 4x4's very well.lol.......................................... .................................................. .............(sn95gt19 Let me know how those 11.5's work out when you get em.If I haven't bought mine yet I'll go with the 11.5's too.I still have the quad shocks too.) Thanks again.
