Thumbs up I just put in a 3G

Hey

Just put in a 3G alternator today and thought I'd let everyone know it is quite easy. The wiring is simple to figure out and I did have to cut the alt. bracket for clearance but the mechanic at my brothers local shop did it for free! I just walked in and it literally took 2 seconds with the dremel. I could have done it, but my brother couldn't find his Rotozip and that mechanic's a cool sh*t anyway.

So it was pretty straight forward...I paid full price for a stock '94 alt. at autozone and then later brought my '91 alt. back to the other Autozone where I live and they gave me back the $40 core value without any questions.

Anyone that has hesitated in doing it, go ahead and jump right into it, really it was a cakewalk.

any questions let me know.....BTW here is the site I read to understand what I was getting into before I did it, and also it was a good reference for bolt and wire sizes.

Have fun!
