Default EEC-A9L help

I had some problems about a month ago and end up changing out the EEC to fix the problem. What could have went out inside it that would have shut it down I had spark and fuel but it would not start. is there a way to test the eec to find where it went bad?

I still had spark and yes i replaced the ign. module about a month before. I was getting fuel and spark would turn over but not start. I thought it was strange the way it happened. I need to have the EEC checked if possible. is there a way or someone who can?
