Wink Pulled Codes from Car, Need Help!

My car has just started to have problems idleing. At a light my car is either on the verge of stalling or idles rough at 900-950rpm (but most of the time it wants to stall). I pulled a 67 and 32 codes. The 67 is about my clutch having to do with the cruise control. The 32 on the other hand has to do with the EVP (EGR Valve Positioning Sensor) having too low of voltage. Where is this sensor? How can I fix it? Is this my problem with the idleing or is this something not to worry about? I NEED HELP! THX.

Thumbs up

Not sure about 67.
But the 32 is the evp sensor which is located on the egr valve (just behind it). I replace it when I got the code (just unbolt and replace it). However when I got the code my car was idling fine.
I've had idling problems also but it was actually the IAB valve which is located on the front of the throttle body. Just unplug and unbolt it clean it out with fuel injection cleaner let it dry and bolt it back on (you can reuse the gasket if your careful but for .50$ just replace it). That took care of the idling problem. Any other question just post. Hope this helps.

The EGR valve is the part that is bolted to the back side of the EGR spacer with the vacuum line going to it.

I got the same EGR code before but after clearing them all out it went away. I don't even have a vacuum line hooked up to mine now and plan to just get rid of it since I am not getting any codes from it. Have you tried clearing the codes to see if it returns?

Have you checked the vacuum to see what you are pulling? Should be around 15 inches.

Well, I cleaned the one in front of the egr and my idle still sucks. I cleared the memory and drove for a while. Looked up the codes again and only got a 67 (clutch), but my car is still idleing like *** . Do you think it's the o2 sensors? Would I be getting a code for it if they were not working properly? When Im above 1100-1200rpm the car runs like it normally has. What can It be? What should I do?

Did you remove and clean the EGR valve? Try it.

Take care

I don't know why O2 sensors would cause that code, but my car had similar problems. I did replace my O2 sensors after getting a few other codes though and they all had to do with the EGR and that got rid of them. I didn't notice any difference in the way my car ran because I had a vacuum problem at the time so it always ran sh!tty.

Have you checked the plugs lately? Maybe it's running rich. What's the fuel pressure at?

Also, does the car sometimes have a high idle when you stop for a light? Sometimes really low? Does it surge up and down? Does it feel like it has some hesitation anywhere in the RPM range while driving at steady speeds?

check that MAF sensor just a thought since everybody else was stabbin at it, it might be a lil dirty gets some electronics parts cleaner (sadvance auto) and clean the two lil wire elements but if it was that you would be getting a check engine light, same as O2's

UPDATE:

I found the problem. The vacuum line from the front of the intake that runs toward the passanger side was busted. At first I saw a crack in the line and thought "that must be it!" but when I lightly pulled on the line, it was gashed through the whole other half and had shredded off where it was connected. Took a little bit of work and $.10 cents worth of vacuum hose (they accidently charged me 1 in. instead of 1 ft.). Good thing I waited on getting o2 sensors ($47 each) and the other egr stuff ($100 EVP) I was soooo close to buying the other stuff but second guessed myself at the store. Thanks for the replies everyone, I appreciate the help and advice.

That's what I was getting at with my last set of questions. My car had all those symptoms and it was a vac problem. I'm glad you got it figured out.
