That's what sucks about having a mustang (everyone wants them). Kind of makes you want a no one steals it chevy. Maybe it was a chevy owner you blew away at the track? Hope it was just some kids taking it out for a joy ride and you get it back in one piece.

yeah, i dont carry theft eithier, and i have nightmares about my ride getting stolen all the time. just be glad you didnt have your new parts installed yet.
by the way, a cheap alarm is to pull your coil wire, or install a kill switch in your ignition system. I actually pulled my coil wire tonight, i usually have the car inside, but im still worried about my stereo, two of which have been stolen from my driveway already, but friends cars, not mine. ------------------ 1993 GT/AOD '93 Mustang GT [This message has been edited by Mach 1 (edited 06-04-2001).] |

I feel your pain, I bought a brand spankin new 91 LX back in the day with the Dark Emerald Green metallic paint, titanium leather interior factory sunroof and equalizer. First year for the pony rims and this was before Ford painted Tarus and Explorers that color so the car stood out quite a bit. It got stolen twice in two years, the second time they had it 18 months and they found it with 20,000 miles more on the odo, with a stolen 240 horse 351 from a brand new Lightning in the engine bay. After all the storage and impound fees I never got it back ( they impounded the motor as well Aw shuchks) The kid did go to jail instead of ratting out on the people he was working for, the police found my mustang and two others plus the lightning all torn apart in his backyard
I saw the car the first time and almost sh#t my pants when I saw the 5.8 sticker on the valvecover, too bad they had not got it running yet based on what I saw, the truck intake is too tall, and points the other direction, they had already moved the battery to the other side etc, but wires everywhere not hooked up. If the motor was not traceable I could have kept it I bought the farm with insurance too, very painfull I had lojack, worked well the first time, second time no luck. ------------------ Frank W 90 5.0 LX coupe Daily driver. That sucks. I know how you feel. I had my 88 coupe stolen, no theft coverage and i owed money on it (i know dumbass..). Lucky I got it back, while talking to the cop it was in a street chase.
But I put an alarm on, kill switch and hidden fuel cutoff switch, the club etc. Now I just have another car for daily driver.. its not worth the aggrevation or constant worry. Anyway.. hope they find it. ------------------ 306ci, TFS stage 3 heads. port/pol edlebrock performer intake. 77mm mass air, 70mm TB, crane 2030 cam, Mac full length headers, flowmasters 3.73 gears (just added, pulleys, ram-air, AFPR, full port/polish on upper intake....looking for new times) Best to date: 13.4@107.85mph |

Sorry to hear about the bad news. Wow, I'd be devestated. I care way to much about my car not to have full coverage - and I work in insurance too. Hope you get it back.

That stinks...makes my blood boil just to hear about it. There are three basic things other guys shouldn't be messing with: the other guy's car, his dog, and his woman (not necessarily in that order). Sorry to hear about it.

I had my 88 GT stolen last November. In January I was questioned about my involvment in a meth lab. I can only figure that they might have used my info from the registration in opening a bank account to move the money. Be sure to check your credit report for such things everyone! Luckily it hasnt shown up on mine yet. Oh ya, No insurance either. However, be sure to check your income tax. I discovered that the Government might pay you back some of your income tax dollars if your loss is more than 10% of your income. (my loss wasnt)

One thing to note...if u pull out the coil wire at night all they have to do is pop yer hood see it missing ad pull one of the spark plug wires and use it for coil wire and it will run with a slight bumpy idle but perfectly other than that. I suggest if your cap is like mine and it holds on with clips...pop it up and take out the rotor and they won't get off unless they bring one
