Which is better?
I am trying to decide which is better, Getting a G3 alt from a 95- or getting a PA Performance 140 alt. I know the G3 there is some fitting issues that you have to work around, I am just trying to get the best alt, for my money. Any suggestions...?

G3 fitment issues?
Hehe, not really, well I suppose if you want to call them that. You need a the spade connector from a 94, or make one, along with the round connector. You need to spend about 15 minutes upgrading your charging power wire from 2 to 1. That and you need to spend 5 minutes cutting down a fin on a bracket. Mine took 45 minutes to install, my connections are soldered and I had to construct a spade connector. My G3 was $75 from a salvage yard. It would have been another $100 more for a bolt in kit. www.corral.net has a tech article on the conversion. In depth. It's easy. Let us know the way you plan to go, I will get you a link or directions how to find it. |
